About Program:
This program aims to improve the skills and knowledge of CSSD professionals and gain necessary knowledge to perform their duties as central service professionals, participants learn how to work in CSSD with high quality and play a key role in maintaining the sterility assurance level of instruments in collaboration with involved healthcare workers
Program Objectives:
- To identify sterile processing personnel requirements
- To practice the methods for proper receiving, transporting and decontamination of reusable medical devices
- To prepare instruments for proper sterilization
- To identify the various sterile packaging system
- To understand the different sterilization methods
- To practice the methods for proper sterility maintenance, handling & inspection
- To identify proper sterile storage, shelf-life and distribution of sterile items
- To discuss what load information is recommended
- To list the different CI’s and their use
- To list down the different BI’s and their use
- To develop the procedures for product recalls
- To review the requirements for product testing
- To describe the requirements for installation, care and maintenance of sterilizers

- Best Practices in Facility & Personnel Requirements
- Best Practices in Prep, Sterilization, Storage and maintain of sterilization
- The methods for proper receiving, transporting and decontamination of reusable medical devices
- Manual and automatic cleaning
- Best practices in identifying different types of Chemical Indicators, Recalls and Product testing
- The various sterile packaging system
